RSS feeds and why you can't live without them.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, but you either already know that or don't really care. All the site within the Blogging Vegas network have their own, individual RSS feed. There are a bunch of things you can do with that feed, but we will focus on the most common two uses.
One, you can use our RSS feed to add the news topics posted on each site to your home page, such as Google, MSN Live or MyYahoo. Just look for the icon in the right navigation of our sites. Click on the icon that you use for your home page, and walla, our feed is added. Now you can sit in front of your computer all day waiting for us to post. When we finally do post, your homepage will update showing the past few posts.
Two, you can add our RSS feed to your newsreader. You will also find links in the right navigation to add our site to popular newsreaders such as Bloglines or Newsgator. You can also load up your favorite newsreader and type the URL (for example bloggingvegas.com) into the add blog input field. Your newsreader will find our feed and subscribe you.
While the mechanics behind RSS may not be so "Simple" utilizing them is. If you have any questions about adding our feeds to your homepage or newsreader, please contact us.
