Palms to host annual AFAN black and white party in Las Vegas
Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) will be holding its 21st annual Black and White party at the Palms Hotel and Casino on Saturday, September 15th. The fundraiser, which is being sponsored by the Palms and N9NE Group, will feature before and after parties at Moon nightclub, the Palms’ pool area and finally at Rain.
The “topless” VIP pre-party will start at 6 p.m. at Moon, when the club’s ceiling will be retracted to create an open-air nightclub. N9NE Steakhouse will provide appetizers, while Macy’s hosts a Black and White fashion show. Tickets for the pre-party will be $175.
At 8 p.m., the party will move downstairs to the pool area. Guests will be treated to samples from some of the valley’s finest restaurants including BOA Steakhouse, McCormick & Schmick’s, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Sushi Roku and several others. $50 will get you access to the poolside party and unlimited restaurant and beverage samplings.
After the poolside gala, guests are invited to attend the after-party hosted by Rain nightclub starting at 11 p.m. and running into the early morning hours. After-party ticket prices will be $25.
Guests of honor scheduled to attend include Mayor Oscar Goodman, Congresswoman Shelley Berkley and Las Vegas magicians Penn and Teller.
