Vegoose to rock Las Vegas this weekend

Now you may or may not agree with this, but it is strictly my opinion that Muse is one of the best bands out there today. They might not necessarily have as broad of an appeal as some other the other big name acts out there, but those in the know will tell you straight away that they play just good old fashion awesome music.

That’s why I’m excited that they’ll be playing the annual Vegoose Halloween festival this weekend. Vegoose is a weekend long series of outdoor concerts similar to the Coachella festival. The outdoor event will be taking place at Sam Boyd Stadium and Star Nursery Field and will begin Saturday afternoon.

Over two dozen bands are scheduled to attend, including: Muse, Daft Punk, Rage Against the Machine, The Shins, Public Enemy, Ghostface Killah, Cypress Hill and several others.

Most of the shows will take place outdoors on multiple stages and the weather couldn’t be more perfect for it.

In addition to the outdoors concerts, Vegoose at Night will take place starting Friday night. The late night concert series will be held simultaneously at The Joint and the House of Blues Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Attendants are encouraged to wear costumes to the events and the bands are all top shelf, so it should be an awesome weekend. Ticket prices vary depending on the number of days you want to stay.

Can’t make it to the show, you say? No problem. AT&T is sponsoring the event and will be hosting an exclusive webcast of the festival.

Comments

Muse is absolutely mind-blowing, both on record and live. It's going to be really hard to deal with the possibility Muse's set will overlap with Rage Against the Machine on Sunday, but I guess we'll make due with so much awesomeness in one place!
