Opportunity Village is hosting is 2nd Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
Ante up and go all-in for this year’s second annual No-Limit Texas Hold’em Celebrity Poker Tournament. Last year’s inaugural event was a showdown and this year it’s back by popular demand. If you want to register click on Opportunity Village.
Caesars Palace will again host this star-studded event, on Saturday, May 12 from 1 to 6 p.m.. This event will feature a grand prize of $10,000 and a spot in the World Series of Poker PLUS $40,000 to be shared among the remaining finalist.
For those wanting to learn new tips and tricks, poker lessons from Professional Poker Player David Sklansky will be held from 12:15 – 12:45 p.m. for a $25 donation to Opportunity Village.
Darren Peck, KVVU Fox 5’s Chief Meteorologist, will again emcee the afternoon and will be sure to keep everyone entertained. A fabulous VIP reception and “Losers’ Lounge” will take place throughout the tournament at PURE Nightclub with gourmet hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, a one-of-a-kind diamond fashion show and silent auction in a posh atmosphere with live entertainment. The tournament is open to the public for a suggested contribution of $500 with 2nd Chance Opportunities available through the 6th round. Seating is limited!
