12 people struck by car on Las Vegas strip sidewalk

12 people were injured late Wednesday afternoon when a car veered onto a crowded sidewalk in front of Planet Hollywood.

The driver suffers from diabetes and had passed out behind the wheel at the time of the incident. He had no recollection of the incident when he came to. Police cited him for failure to maintain a lane.

Although most of the victims, who were all from out of state, suffered head wounds and were bleeding, none had life threatening injuries. Four people were able to walk away with bruises and scratches.

The blue Pontiac had a shattered windshield and was missing the passenger side mirror.
