FBI knew of O.J. Simpson’s Las Vegas confrontation three weeks in advance

O.J. Simpson. This guy’s story is nothing short of incredible. And I can’t even say that the latest twist can be attributed the man himself. It was the FBI’s fumble.

Seems they knew Simpson was planning the operation three weeks in advance. Thomas Riccio, the man who set up the fateful meeting between Simpson and sports memorabilia collectors Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley.

Riccio told the AP that he contacted the FBI and Los Angeles police, neither of whom seemed interested, according to him.

According to FBI reports, Riccio and Simpson wanted to do a television broadcast of the confrontation. Of course, by now we’re all well aware of the mayhem that occurred in that hotel room.

“They contacted us afterward and provided us with the documentation,” said Las Vegas Police Dectective Andy Caldwell.
