Tape of O.J. Simpson’s Las Vegas confrontation released
The Juice has dodged some damning evidence in the past, but celebrity news website TMZ.com has released an audio tape of the O.J. Simpson stand off in a Palace Station hotel room.
"Think you can steal my s--- and sell it?" the voice identified as Simpson's said.
"You against the motherf*****g wall," said another voice on the tape.
The confrontation, which is six minutes long, indicates that Simpson was the leader, at one point demanding his companions, "Don't let nobody out of here."
The tape was recorded by Thomas Riccio, the man who initially told Simpson about the sports memorabilia and arranged the meeting with the sports collectors. Alfred Beardsley, one of the collectors accosted in the incident, blames Riccio for the situation.
“If they don't charge Riccio I will be very upset. That guy lied to O.J. and got him all pumped up," he said.
Riccio, an ex-con, runs the California based auction house Universal Rarities, which handled the eBay auction of Anna Nicole Smith’s handwritten diaries not long after the former Playboy playmate’s death.
Although police have seized two firearms believed to be used during the robbery, Simpson maintains that no weapons were involved.
