Warren Jeffs arrested in Las Vegas

JeffsSelf-proclaimed Prophet and leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Las Vegas, late Monday night. On the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List, Jeffs had eluded police for quite some time.

As leader of the FLDS Church, Jeffs is accused of arranging marriages between under age girls and older, married men. The FLDS Church split from the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints when the mainstream Mormon Church stopped allowing plural marriages over 100 years ago.

So what was Jeffs doing in Las Vegas? Passing through possibly, or is Las Vegas becoming a refuge for the polygamist sect? It was recently reported that followers of Jeffs had relocated to Las Vegas and were purchasing houses with large lots. Will Las Vegas, famous for its tolerance of many things, draw the line on polygamy?
