UFC Fight Night 11 and The Ultimate Fighter 6 premiere Wednesday night
Mixed martial arts fans will have a lot to watch on Wednesday and a lot to discuss nest to the water coolers on Thursday. This Wednesday night, the Spike Network will broadcast UFC Fight Night 11 followed by the debut of mixed martial arts reality show The Ultimate Fighter 6.
The main event for UFC Fight Night will feature lightweight fighters Kenny Florian and Din Thomas, both former competitors on The Ultimate Fighter.
Florian is coming off two consecutive wins and is a gifted grappler and devastating striker. Thomas, meanwhile, holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has won four of his last five fights via submission.
Ultimate Fight Night will be held at The Pearl inside The Palms Resort and broadcast from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Spike TV.
Following the conclusion of UFN, The Ultimate Fighter 6 will make its debut. This season will feature welterweight (156 to 170 pounds) fighters. The coaches this season will be Matt Serra, winner of The Ultimate Fighter 4 and current welterweight champion, and Matt Hughes, former welterweight champion.
At the season finale, the coaches will have a title fight for the welterweight championship.
